Are you looking to capture a share of the booming snack market but finding yourself limited by manual processing speeds? This was the exact scenario for a growing food enterprise in Mexico before they decided to upgrade their facility with our complete potato chips production line. By switching to our semi-automatic solution, the client successfully transformed their business from a small workshop into a competitive local brand.

The new potato chips making machine set has enabled them to produce consistently crispy, high-quality chips, leading to a significant increase in profit margins and market share.

Customer Background and Needs Analysis

Mexico is famous for its vibrant street food culture and high consumption of savory snacks, particularly flavored potato chips. The client, situated in a region with abundant access to fresh, high-quality potatoes, saw a golden opportunity to launch a local brand featuring traditional Mexican flavors like chili and lime.

However, their reliance on manual peeling and frying resulted in inconsistent chip thickness and oily products that couldn’t compete with major brands. They urgently needed a potato chips manufacturing plant that could handle raw materials efficiently, ensure uniform frying, and reduce oil waste.

Their specific request was for machinery that could produce both flat and wavy chips, catering to diverse consumer preferences.

What’s Taizy’s Solution?

To meet the high standards of the Mexican market, we designed a tailored semi-automatic potato chips plant solution. The process begins with a brush-type potato washing and peeling machine, which effectively removes dirt and skins without damaging the potato flesh.

Next, we installed a high-speed slicing machine equipped with interchangeable blades, allowing the client to switch between flat and wavy cuts instantly. The core of the line includes a blanching machine to remove excess starch, a dewatering machine, and an oil-water mixture potato frying machine that filters residues automatically to prolong oil life.

Finally, a de-oiling machine and an octagonal seasoning machine ensure the chips are not greasy and are perfectly coated with spices before packaging.

Potato Chips Production Line Advantages

Our equipment was chosen over competitors because of its robust construction and adaptability. The entire potato chips processing line is made of food-grade 304 stainless steel, which is essential for meeting Mexico’s strict food safety regulations and ensures durability against corrosion.

Additionally, the potato slicer allows for precise thickness adjustments (from 0.5mm to 1.5mm), giving the client full control over the texture of their final product.

Taizy’s Service

We believe that distance should not be a barrier to trust. Before the potato chips line was shipped, we purchased fresh potatoes to conduct a comprehensive live trial at our factory. We recorded every step—from peeling to frying—and sent the unedited footage to the client to prove the machine’s capability.

To ensure the equipment arrived in Mexico City in perfect condition, we used heavy-duty packaging methods: each machine was wrapped in moisture-proof film and secured inside reinforced wooden crates. We also arranged a live video call inspection, allowing the client to verify the voltage readings and machine details personally before the shipment was sealed.

Customer Feedback and After-Sales

The results from Mexico have been outstanding. Upon receiving the shipment, the client utilized our detailed manuals and remote video assistance to set up the potato chips production line. Our engineers guided their team through the installation and temperature calibration process, ensuring the fryer was optimized for their specific altitude and humidity conditions.

The client reported that the new system has streamlined their operations significantly, allowing them to expand production scale to fulfill supermarket orders.
